Make Your Own DIY Homemade Face Mask

Use simple basic ingredients found around the kitchen to make your own simple, hydrating masks.

Routine:
Apply Masks (homemade or otherwise) on clean face for 10-15 minutes
Cleansing
Apply a thin layer of moisturizer.

Skin type:

Oily or acne-prone skin - mud or clay-based masks. Other citrus fruits like orange juice, grapefruit juice and lime juice will decrease oily skin's shine and will make the pores appear smaller.

Banana Mask: (oily skin)
• 1 Ripe banana
• 1 tablespoon honey
• Few drops of lemon juice
(Mix well, apply, wash off with warm water after 15 minutes)

Strawberry / Lemon Mask: (oily skin)
• Half teaspoon lemon juice
• One egg white
• One teaspoon honey
• 4 tablespoons mashed fresh strawberries
(Mix well, apply, wash off with warm water after 15 minutes)

Strawberry Mask: (acne skin)
- A natural source of salicylic acid (found in over-the-counter acne medicines) which is found in Strawberries.
• 3 tablespoons mashed fresh strawberries
• 1 tablespoon sour cream
• 1 tablespoon non-sweetened plain yogurt
(Mix well, apply, wash off with warm water after 15 minutes)

Aspirin Mask: (acne skin)
- effective ingredient in aspirin is chemically similar to salicylic acid (found in over-the-counter acne medicines).
• Four uncoated plain aspirin pills (crushed finely)
• One tablespoon of warm water
• One Teaspoon Honey
• One Teaspoon plain yogurt
(add more warm water if paste is too dry)
(Mix well, apply, wash off with warm water after 15 minutes)

Milk of Magnesia: (oily and acne skin)
(liquid magnesium. Like clay, but has disinfecting qualities and absorbs oil better than clay)
• 5 tablespoons milk of magnesia
• Few drops of lemon juice
(Mix well, apply, wash off with warm water after 15 minutes)

Combination skin - Rose balances out skin.
